Hello Alexis! Can you tell us what pushed you to practice this sport at this high level?
I have always been motivated to develop in this sport to show that a person with a disability can express themselves at a high level just as much as an able-bodied person and achieve exceptional results.
What qualities are required to practice handi-basketball at a high level?
The qualities required to progress in this discipline are more particularly coordination, skill, reading games for the technical part but also developing one's physique (explosiveness/strength) to be efficient.
What is your fondest sporting memory?
All the titles are beautiful memories but the one that will mark me the most was my first European Cup won in Turkey with the Le Cannet Hornets.
What does a typical workout look like?
The training warm-up generally consists of ball handling and chair handling exercises which are the fundamental elements of handicap basketball.
Followed by shooting exercises or physical exercises following the theme of the training and of course phases of play and tactical implementations at the end of training.
Do you pay attention to your diet? If so, all year round or rather by period?
Yes, I pay attention to my diet all year round because I think it is essential to preform and be in shape when practicing any sport. Of course I also have moments of pleasure during periods without matches so that I can decompress and recharge my batteries!
What do you think of Nüttree energy balls?
Energy balls help me a lot in my nutrition! These are little balls that can be eaten anywhere whenever you want and above all good for the body because they are organic/vegan/no added sugars! They suit everyone!
What are your favorite perfumes?
It's a difficult choice but I would say the Choco-coco and Matcha-Goji Tea balls
